We mould students and prepare them to face the world. The IB Diploma Programme accepted by renowned universities worldwide demonstrates a strong commitment to learning, in terms of the mastery of subjects and development of 21st century skills.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is an intensive two year programme, governed by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). It represents a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities that go beyond intellectual development and academic success; and aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people for a better and more peaceful world.
The IBDP curriculum focuses on six subject groups comprising three essential components. Students study six subjects selecting one from each Group, or two subjects from Group 3 or 4 so that Group 6 can be skipped.
Through IBDP, our students learn to use and share knowledge and understanding to:
- Explore, wonder and question
- Research and report findings
- Make resolutions and act purposefully
- Analyze critically
- Elaborate on solutions to problems
- Grow as global citizens
Assessment in IBDP is criterion-based. It uses internal and external assessments to assess student performance. Internal assessments include oral work in languages, laboratory work in sciences, investigations in mathematics and art work. Students receive grades ranging from 7 to 1, 7 being highest.
