Secondary 2 IGCSE

We empower students with knowledge and skills for a sturdy footing in Secondary 2 through the Cambridge IGCSE programme. With an inclusive curriculum, IGCSE celebrates local culture while growing towards internationalism.

The IGSCE programme is spread over two years of Grade 9 & 10. Developed over 25 years ago and tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide, the appeal of the curriculum is enhanced because it offers a variety of subjects, across groups.

The syllabus is flexible helping students to develop skills of enquiry, collaboration, reflection and apply them to global themes being studied. All scenarios and discussions are considered from local, national and global angles, allowing students to develop their own perspective. Students can choose a minimum of seven subjects and a maximum of nine subjects from the following:

Secondary 2 ICE Award

Cambridge ICE Award: Students are required to pass minimum seven subjects in IGCSE examinations to be eligible for the Cambridge ICE award, a group award for Cambridge IGCSE to recognise the achievements of learners.

AssessmentInternal formative assessments are conducted throughout the year, in the form of written tests, speaking and listening assessments for languages, research projects or practical assignments. Additionally, formal external assessment at the end of the course gives options to suit learners, including written, oral and practical assessment. This broadens opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning. With a tiered structure in many subjects for different ability levels, students are assessed positively for grades A*–G, A* being the highest.

IGCSE March session: Our school has opted for the March series examination for IGCSE to help our students meet local college and admission deadlines.
