Secondary 1

Cambridge Secondary 1 offers a stepping stone from primary to secondary and is a precursor to the globally-recognised International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) qualification. By emphasising on essential application-based skills such as critical thinking and individual research, it paves the way for the future.

Adolescent students are at a critical phase of personal and intellectual development. Our culturally diverse teachers, hailing from many ethnic and geographical backgrounds, mould them into confident learners; inspire discipline and skills by instilling creativity and flexibility to encourage them to become global citizens.

AssessmentOur learning-driven course is based on continuous assessment rather than end-of-year exams. Two summative formal examinations are held at the end of each semester in all subjects. The assessment may be a written test, a research project or a presentation depending of the skills to be tested. This reduces stress on students, maximises term time for learning and allows students to focus on how they learn.
